The March 1994 issue of Ciao magazine saw the first chapter of Wedding❤Peach by Yazawa Nao debut to audiences, which means that 2024 marks 30 years since we first got to meet Hanasaki Momoko, Tanima Yuri and Tamano Hinagiku in print! It is pretty hard to believe we’ve been living in a Wedding Peach world for so long. Thank you to Yazawa-sensei, Tomita Sukehiro and all others involved in the production of this franchise.
Unfortunately there have been no official tie-in events to celebrate this occasion, so I commissioned a special illustration of Peach in her original manga costume to mark this special moment in Peachy history! For the rest of the year I’ll be displaying this image on the side bar in celebration. Thank you kindly to kasuya_ors for fulfilling this commission so beautifully!
In terms of actual site updates, we’re keeping with the manga celebration motif with…
- A new layout designed and coded by Never Enough Design with a manga header image scanned and edited by me.
- I’ve edited all subpage images on the site to fit this new format.
- The Manga Gallery has been updated to feature 9 new scans in 1200 dpi, these scans are spread between the 1995 Ciao Furoku gallery page and the 1996 Ciao Furoku gallery page.
- I’ve updated links on the Website page and removed dead links.
I did want to come back with an even bigger manga gallery update, but I’ve had a few health complications so it was important for me to at least get the basics up before 2024 was over. I’ll continue adding 1200 dpi scans to that section and a number of other sections as time and health allows.
Thank you so much for visiting this website, if you like what I do here please link back from your own site or socials and help keep the love for this 90s media mix alive!
I have ripped four Wedding Peach CD singles into FLAC format for those keen to hear lossless versions of these releases. The singles now available in FLAC are as follows:
- Yumemiru Ai Tenshi / 21 Seiki no Juliet (First OP/ED)
- Wedding Wars -Ai wa Honoo- / Virgin Love (Second OP/ED)
- Wedding Peach Premium CD
- Wedding Peach Christmas CD
This ended up taking a lot more time and effort than I’d anticipated so don’t expect me to tackle whole albums for a bit, though I do intend to get there eventually. All music files are provided as samples to be deleted within 24 hours and are not meant to replace ownership of the original releases. Enjoy!
I have revised all my existing Animedia magazine scans featuring Wedding Peach, amending quality issues and more than doubling their resolution. You’ll notice these scans now feature a new, smaller watermark and don’t have the same glaring saturation from a few years back.
- Number of newly edited, higher-quality scans: 12
I hope to slowly amend all the existing gallery files over time to improve their quality as there is a real lack Wedding Peach illustrations in decent resolution on the modern web. Please be patient with me though, this is a massive undertaking and I’d still like to also add new images and other things as well!
Speaking of which, I have updated the Website page to include several new shoujo-related links and some new link buttons featuring the website’s new address. Thank you for stopping by and please enjoy the new additions.
Nakajima Erina, the artist best known for performing the 2nd opening theme from the Wedding Peach anime series, “Wedding Wars ~Ai wa Honoo~” has covered the song again in a haunting piano version. “Wedding Wars” was Nakajima’s first single and debut as a singer so it still holds a very special place in her heart after all these years.
Wedding Peach co-creator Yazawa Nao promoted the video on Twitter as did Sekine Anri who provided the original arrangement for the song, again noting it was their love of ‘Earth, Wind & Fire’ that helped inspire the track. You can watch Nakajima perform the song in full via her YouTube channel.
As for this website, I haven’t forgotten about it! I actually want to work on some new content and enhance the existing image galleries. However, I do need to find a new host before I can do anything else so until then please enjoy an enhanced layout featuring artwork of the love angels by another Wedding Peach mangaka, Fujii Midori. I have also updated the Website page to amend broken links and add a few new ones.
I look forward to adding something more substantial to this website soon!
First update for 2022 and it’s just a handful of bootleg pics I found while sorting a box of furoku. Sorry! I promise I’ll get around to some bigger updates when I have time. For now though, I hope you’ll enjoy the 3 new scans in the Bootleg section of the anime gallery.
- Number of new images added: 3
Other than that, Wedding Apple is still being serialised weekly on TapNovel so be sure to check it out. I have a lot of things I want to add to the site this year, so fingers crossed I’ll see you soon with more new additions!
Just a quick update to close out the long weekend here. I’ve updated to Games & Software page to include scans from the Wedding Peach Screensaver release from 1996. Although the artwork isn’t too exciting (and can be found on other products), I’ve never seen proper scans from this software package so they’re still an interesting little tidbit from the history of the series (imho, anyway).
- Number of new images added: 4
That’s it for now, stay tuned for more updates as time allows.
Back again with another quick update. I’ve edited more images for the Anime Gallery including six Anime Comic scans, which concludes all the covers/cover flap illustrations from these releases, as well as two images from a 1995 issue of Animedia magazine.
- Number of new images added: 8
I’ve also updated the Website page with some new site links. Enjoy!
