Starting 2025 off on a positive note, I thought I’d begin by adding some new Wedding Peach anime content in the lead up to the official 30th anniversary of the anime series airing (April 5th). These new additions include:
- I’ve finally created a section covering the Japanese DVD releases for the series, including images and information for the individual and box set releases from the early 2000s (although viewable on mobile the table on this page looks best on a standard computer display).
- 2 new scans in the Animedia magazine gallery, one from the March 1995 issue (an early preview of the then-upcoming anime) and one from the December 1996 issue (a look at Hikami Kyouko’s live and first album).
- 4 new scans in the brand new VHS tapes gallery section! These scans are the full cover wraps from all four DX OVA retail VHS releases in lovely high resolution.
- A new sidebar illustration of Wedding Peach in her anime fighter angel costume to celebrate the anime anniversary, drawn again by the lovely kasuya_ors!
In Wedding Apple news, the February 2025 issue of Seigura (Seiyuu Grand Prix) features a four-page piece on the series seiyuu, including a round table discussion and some gorgeous new photographs of the actresses embodying the style of their characters.
I highly recommend you purchase the issue yourself and enjoy the discussion between these talents as they speak about the characters and their impressions of them. Although it is not directly connected to Wedding Peach, it’s great to see the Wedding Apple project progress and garner actual coverage in an industry magazine!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the new updates. There will be plenty more updates to come this year as I work on making this website a more comprehensive resource for Wedding Peach going forward.
2024 is almost at an end, which means we’re finishing up the Wedding Peach manga’s 30th anniversary year. To conclude this important year on a positive note, I’ve made the following updates to Weddingpeach.net:
- The Manga Chapter Publication List has been revised to include not only the page count of each chapter, but pictures of the title pages for all 26 manga chapters.
- I have added a copy of my Interview with Yazawa Nao to the history section. This interview was originally conducted over 20 years ago and I have revised it for typos/grammatical errors, though the actual content remains the same. Check it out if you’ve never seen it!
- There is now an American DVD Releases section in the Anime Gallery. To launch this new gallery sub-section, I’ve added 12 new images scanned from the first and sixth Wedding Peach anime DVDs by ADV Films (including their reversible covers and bonus storage boxes).
Phew! It feels so good to give this site a decent update to round out the year. Have a safe and enjoyable new year and I’ll see you back here in 2025 for even more Wedding Peach content!
The official website of the Ai Tenshi Seiki Wedding Apple media mix project is now online at weddingapple.com! There isn’t a lot on the website at the moment, save for an introduction to the story, character profiles and seiyuu comments for the wedding angels, and names/images of secondary characters. More is expected to come in the future.
The Seigura website also added a new article featuring cast comments and a brief rundown on the project, noting that voiced chapters of the story (featuring the previously announced seiyuu) will be the first of various media mix projects related to the property. It’s fantastic to see Wedding Apple taking off as we move into another 30th anniversary year for Wedding Peach (2025 marking the third decade since the anime premiered).
No actual content update to this site for the moment, though I have joined some relevant fanlistings (in the column to your right) and added a couple of new links to the Website page. I’ll be back again soon with more Wedding Peach updates 🍑.
November will make way for December shortly, so I figured it’s time to add some 1200 dpi scans of holiday furoku featuring the Wedding Peach gang. Today’s update includes 6 new scans:
- There are 5 new scans on the 1994 Ciao Furoku page, all from the December issue of the magazine and very Christmassy.
- I’ve also added 1 new scan on the 1995 Ciao Furoku page which is New Year-themed.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for supporting my little website. Fingers crossed I’ll have more media to share on here soon and of course, more news about the upcoming Wedding Apple media mix project!
Ai Tenshi Seiki Wedding Apple finished serialisation a while back on the Tap Novel platform. However, a new Twitter/X social media account for the series opened in late October and on the 4th of November 2024 it announced that a voiced version of Wedding Apple is underway.
The announcement included the names of the performers who will portray the five love angels. All five performers are affiliated with MusicRay’n as part of their third generation of seiyuu. Their roles in Wedding Apple are as follows:
- Asahi Ringo/Wedding Apple: Tachibana Mirai
- Naeba Sakura/Wedding Cherry: Hinata Moka
- Yukishiro Tsubaki/Wedding Camellia: Miyazawa Koharu
- Kirino Ayame/Wedding Iris: Aikawa Kanata
- Mukasa Ran/Wedding Orchid: Natsume Kokona
While this website is obviously dedicated to Wedding Peach, I do feel it is important to convey some information about Wedding Apple to people as it is a modern “successor” series from Wedding Peach‘s original creator, Tomita Sukehiro. There isn’t much news now, but as official channels provide more information on this new Wedding Apple project I’ll try to share it with you (however, keep in mind that Wedding Peach content will continue to be my priority).
Keeping the manga-related updates coming, I’ve got 8 new 1200dpi scans in the gallery for you to enjoy. The images added are as follows:
- The 1994 Ciao Furoku page has opened with the first two pieces of Wedding Peach furoku in Ciao magazine, both as part of a greater Ciao All Star Seal Set.
- The 1995 Ciao Furoku page has been updated with a new set of adhesives and a zen’in envelope, both from the October ’95 issue of Ciao.
- The Manga merchandise page now features the manga shitajiki originally sold during the Ciao Festival events in 1994 and 1995.
Yazawa-sensei was also kind enough to compliment this site’s recent renewal on X, which was overwhelming! I’m just so honoured to be able to share what Wedding Peach content I have with the world and hope to continue to do so (and to improve the information and media I have here) for many more years to come. Thanks for stopping by!
The March 1994 issue of Ciao magazine saw the first chapter of Wedding❤Peach by Yazawa Nao debut to audiences, which means that 2024 marks 30 years since we first got to meet Hanasaki Momoko, Tanima Yuri and Tamano Hinagiku in print! It is pretty hard to believe we’ve been living in a Wedding Peach world for so long. Thank you to Yazawa-sensei, Tomita Sukehiro and all others involved in the production of this franchise.
Unfortunately there have been no official tie-in events to celebrate this occasion, so I commissioned a special illustration of Peach in her original manga costume to mark this special moment in Peachy history! For the rest of the year I’ll be displaying this image on the side bar in celebration. Thank you kindly to kasuya_ors for fulfilling this commission so beautifully!
In terms of actual site updates, we’re keeping with the manga celebration motif with…
- A new layout designed and coded by Never Enough Design with a manga header image scanned and edited by me.
- I’ve edited all subpage images on the site to fit this new format.
- The Manga Gallery has been updated to feature 9 new scans in 1200 dpi, these scans are spread between the 1995 Ciao Furoku gallery page and the 1996 Ciao Furoku gallery page.
- I’ve updated links on the Website page and removed dead links.
I did want to come back with an even bigger manga gallery update, but I’ve had a few health complications so it was important for me to at least get the basics up before 2024 was over. I’ll continue adding 1200 dpi scans to that section and a number of other sections as time and health allows.
Thank you so much for visiting this website, if you like what I do here please link back from your own site or socials and help keep the love for this 90s media mix alive!
