Paper doll (きせかえにんぎょう) books are cheap, colourful books made of paper card that allow you to push out various fashion outfits to then “dress up” characters in the outfits. These dolls have been around for many years and are popular all over the world, so unsurprisingly a lot of Japanese anime for kids receive tie-in paper doll books along with items like sticker and colouring books.
